This blog will act as a way to host supplemental information for repairs and projects that are done on the YouTube channel. If you are interested in learning more about electronics related to musical instruments then you are in the right place!

Before we get into the good stuff, I will give a quick introduction so that you know who I am. My name is Bobby and I have been playing guitar for 30+ years and have been working on guitar amps for myself and others for 15+ years as of 2026. I first learned about electronics by attending a local Technical College and obtaining an A.A.S. degree in Instrumentation and Control Technology. This led to several technician related jobs where I did everything from calibrating lab equipment in medical labs, putting test instruments on semi-trucks, to designing and building customized automated tests using PLCs and hydraulic/pneumatic actuators. I also spent four years teaching that same program at the college I attended, and realized how much I not only enjoy learning about electronics, but also enjoy teaching the same subject. After a decade in these roles as a technician I ended up going back to school one more time for a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Engineering and have been working in that field ever since.

Throughout my entire education, and career, in this field the focus for me has ALWAYS been related to guitar amps and other musical circuits. It is what drove me to learning about electronics in the first place, and what kept me studying in school and working at better understanding how all of this stuff works, because nothing beats having a good sounding, reliable, amplifier when you are playing in five different bands and getting ready to jump in a tour van for a cross country trip with $200 in your pocket.

I will be posting supplemental material to this page for FREE! Eventually there will be a paid tier for early access, and even more material, if there is enough interest, and I am slowly chipping away at a full electronics course in the background... but for now this will be the place for snippets of schematics, parts lists, and notes from the projects that appear on the YouTube channel.
